The Sabiala Story

The name Sabiala carries legacy in its letters.

Sabaoth — God is merciful — is my best friend’s name. She’s Ethiopian, and her name has always reminded me of the quiet strength and grace that women pass down through generations.

Latialaa time of famine — is my own middle name. It was also my grandmother’s name. She was born, raised and raised her children in Western Kenya. Her story is one of survival, endurance, and beauty shaped by scarcity and the choice to seek joy.

Together, these names form Sabiala — a word that holds tension and tenderness, fullness and fire. A name about motion: through time, through identity, through the world.

At Sabiala, we believe beauty isn’t loud or performative — it’s something lived. It’s in the way you move. The way you choose. The way you show up.

Our Sabiala overcoats are modern-day heirlooms — designed for women who want more than style. They want story.

Some pieces are canvases for original works by emerging artists — our Edition d’Art. Others celebrate fabric as art in itself — our Edition Matière.

All are rooted in intention — and made to move with you.

Sabiala is for the woman who curates her life — with intellect, instinct, and a little edge...doesn’t follow trends, but follows meaning....knows that beauty isn’t a standard to reach — it’s a truth to return to.

Just be Beautiful.
